The recreational team at Simcoe Dance Academy is a positive environment that helps children learn dance in a fun and safe space all while gaining strength, building teamwork, developing technique, and expressing themselves. Our recreational team is open to anyone age 2 and up. There are no auditions required to join our recreational programs. We offer a wide variety of dance styles that your child will have the opportunity to participate in.

what is involved?

Dancers in the recreational program will look forward to:

• Weekly classes

  • Classes run from September-June (detailed schedule provided)

• Parent Watching Week

  • An opportunity for your parents to watch your dance classes

• Photo Day

  • A day where you can wear your costume and have a professional photos taken, a great memory for years to come!

• Year end recital

  • At the end of the dance season we take to the stage where we showcase all the hard work the dancers have put into classes since the beginning of the dance season.

  • Costumes! Each dancer will get their own costume to wear onstage while performing their dance.

  • Professional Video. The recital is filmed so you will get the memory to keep forever!
